Previously unseen footage of New Zealand motor racing icon Bruce McLaren has been delivered by Nulight Studios for a new feature-length biopic about his life.
The intent behind the new film, called McLaren, is to capture a lost era of motor racing using a rich selection of archive and home movie footage.
Most of the source material originated from a mixture of mostly 8mm colour and black and white reversal taken by spectators and amateur cameramen from the time of McLarens career.
Included in the films delivered by Nulight are key events such as McLaren’s earliest races on the amateur circuit as well as winning the Monaco Grand Prix in 1962.
